PROCESS(edited)
Each owner will have two universities in which he/she has exclusivity ownership of those players. For example if I selected Texas, I would be the only owner eligible to draft Kevin Durant and any other former Longhorn. If there are any disputes, the college listed on each player's basketball reference page will determine where that player actually attended college.
example:

So obviously, the strategy is clear---do you choose a university with that one stud that you really want or do you choose a powerhouse with many good players that you have exclusivity in? This will be the fascinating part of this league in my opinion.
The two-round selection process for those two universities is as follows:
Round 1: First-come first-served----
when signing up on this thread, select your first university. If your top choice has already been taken, then choose another university.
Round 2: Reverse draft----the 24th owner to sign up will have first choice in round 2. This portion of the draft will take two days----12 picks per day.
I will wait until ten owners that have signed up before I will claim a university.
Since this is the Collegiate Basketball League, NO PLAYERS WHO WENT STRAIGHT TO THE NBA AND NO FOREIGN-DRAFTED PLAYERS ARE ALLOWED. For example, no LeBron, no Moses Malone, no Dirk Nowitzki or Yao Ming. Now if a foreigner attended a U.S. university, then he may be used. For example, Detlef Schrempf went to the University of Washington so he can be chosen.
TEAM NAMES MUST INCLUDE BOTH UNIVERSITIES --- Example: Texas/Washington
You must use at least TWO players from each university you choose. These players do not have to be starters, but must be a members of your roster. The other eight players can come from any university that is NOT selected by one of the 24 owners.
If there are questions about rules, etc, please let me know.
FYI --- this is a pretty good webpage---
www.databasebasketball.com/players/playerbycollege.htm Whether its 100% accurate or not I don't know. Again, we will go by the basketball reference page if there are problems.
