Had to share this one, because it's gotta rank high on the "dumbass" scale.

World rolls over to S19.  On the first day after budgets are set, owner offers a two year contract extension to a particular player, $4m a season, for S20 and S21.

Three weeks later, he releases the guy.

So now he's on the hook for two years of a contract that hasn't even become effective yet.

That's good stuff.
