I'm normally pretty good at evaluating talent, but am now really torn on these 2 bigs. Team plays FCP. Obviously, #1 is the player with huge ceiling and better starting cores, but the 20 WE coupled with only 6 spd scare the bejesus out of me. Thoughts?

#1, 20 WE:

going for the stars huh? Btw, neither guy will get RS but will start immediately. Make any difference?

If the winner has to start immediately then it has to be #1.  51 stamina for a starter will kill you in close and overtime games.  Otherwise they seem fairly close to me...

starting reinforced my choice of #1 because it will allow his WE to improve by maybe 7 or 8 points his freshman year.  by mid to late soph year he'll be in his 30's and improve just fine.  my not reach his full potential but he'll still be a really good player

neither, both will be unplayable in the pressing system, and whatever gain they will make during the season in stamina (and some cores) will be lost in the offseason. two steps forward one step back, if you're lucky.

jones, that's actually (a fairly big) overstatement ... while each may lose a little in the offseason, it won't be much (and perhaps not at all).

Wait, why do you think #2 can't handle a press? 50+ ath 40 speed cant play press in the #4 spot? Anyways, I went with #1 because the upside is huge.

And it's not that I want to start either players, it's that both are long distance and since I got into an expensive battle, I decided to sign 2 players with starts for $120 each.

Center #1 is the going to the better player in the end, especially if he's starting freshman year he'll see a big WE boost.  The only thing that would scare me about player #1 is that  he has a 62 stamina and only avg potential for stamina.  With you playing FCP I'm not sure how much court time you can get out of him even in later seasons.

Neither is too good but I would take #1 in hopes that he has a high high or two.

Interest that most people think these two bigs are only mediocre for D3. Out of curiosity, what do you guys think about these other 2 bigs I signed for the same fcp team. Horrocks is gonna play 3 and a little bit of 4 once his Reb picks up.
