Weren't they suppose to be better?

OR, did you send a ticket to ask about that? Clearly not how it was supposed to work.

OR ... are you able to separate them out by ranking? If it's not too much work, that would be more accurate.

didn't Phelan start after Tark, so Phelan would have the newest players and Tark would still have the oldest?

Iba will have new recruits in the morning.

Can anyone post the breakdown of current recruits in Iba and Phelan in this thread, and then add the new ones once they're generated so we can compare? That would be awesome.

No I didn't - sending tickets into CS detracts from the fun I get from this game - LOL

ok i see what you mean...when tark finished you looked at next offseasons recruits....in that case, yeah that doesn't make much sense

from the developer chat:

The average overall rating will only go up about 3 points or so with this change. It does affect all players because we generate recruits as an entire pool at one time. We don't generate them by division or rating range or anything like that. The average max ratings will not change (other than FT being lowered a bit), so you shouldn't see that much of a change in potentials.

i don't see much difference at all - seems to me it got worse.  I don't have one recruit higher than 600 within 100 miles and I always had at least one or two.

oops that should have been with my Storm69 id.

Yes, but he also specifically stated in the dev chat (supplying the actual numbers) that certain areas were going to get a significant bump. And that bump is not apparent in the #'s that OR posted whatsoever.

Comparing ONE recruiting class to ONE recruiting class doesn't tell you much, I mean, there is some difference between recruiting classes even within the same system of generation.  I would think you have to see a good number of recruiting classes before you can make any concrete observations.  Of course, if the AVERAGE of all players went up by three points, but the standard deviation went down, then the natural result would be that devision one would go down a little bit, Division thereen would go up a bit, and division two probably stays similar. . however, the average difference between the top fo division one and the bottom of division one. . .

However, say you take that as a representative sample:  Recruits 1 - 150 went down, the rest stayed almost even.
1 - 50 went down by an average of 25.5
51 - 100 went down by an average of 17 points.
101 - 150 went down by 6.5 points.
151 - 200 went down by 2
201 - 250 went down by 2.5
251 - 300 by an average of 3 points.

So the average distance between the top recruits and the remainder has, indeed, gone down.  I imagine if you plotted out the entire spectrum from d1 to d3, you would see a slight raise in average rating. . however, a raise of three points, while over a large sample it would show, is small enough to get lost in the noise of the random variation in the entire set from one season to the next.  Absolute rating is meaningless, only relative rating. . and the elite recruits HAVE come down to be slightly closer to the non elite recruits.
