1) You have Cardoza's IQ (B-) listed, but don't have Ashburn's (B+).
2) Ashburn has 19 extra shot attempts - but he also has 10 additional offensive rebounds (so that accounts for some of the shot attempts) and 9 fewer turnovers (which also accounts for some of the shot attempts)
3) You mentioned Ashburn spending more time on the court with lower distro teammates, which is important, but when he doesn't start he also likely spends more time on the floor against inferior competition (as compared to Cardoza starting).
