I'm curious about where I stand with a recruit...I made a few different recruiting stabs at him and these are the responses I get...
From a CV:
"Coach, your school seems like the perfect fit for me. I had a fantastic time this weekend on campus. I can't imagine how my campus visits to other schools can compare with it."
From a HV:
"Coach, thanks for offering to visit with me, but it just isn't going to work out right now. Sorry."
From a Scholly offer:
"It would be a dream to play for you, I don't know why they make me wait to sign, but I guess that's what I have to do.
From a Phone Call:
"Hey Coach. Sorry I didn't take your call - I've been really busy lately. From what I know of the program, it may be something I'd be interested in, but I'd really like to learn a lot more about the school, conference and your coaching philosophy."
From Guaranteed Minutes:
"Hey coach, if I gave you the wrong idea about my interest then I apologize man. Just seems odd that you're talking about playing time when I'm not sold on the program yet."
My responses to SV's have been increasingly positive, ranging from the backup option, to the head coach being appreciative, to giving my assistant coach a smile after a thumbs up...
Where the heck do I stand with this guy?
