Planning on bringing him up for the upcoming season, and looking for some advice.  No room at COF or first, so need to play him at 3rd or 2nd.  Given that he is somewhat of a defensive liability for different reasons at each position, at which one do you think he'll have less negative impact?

I'd rather have him at 3B than 2B

He's going to struggle at both, but I'd rather have him at 3B than 2B.  You'll notice quite a few grounders that would be outs but sneak by and go for doubles.

He will be bad at both.  Not enough range/glove for 2B, and not enough arm for 3B.  Obviously 3B if I had to choose.

Frankly, his bat doesn't seem good enough to me to take the hit defensively at either position, and with his high OVR (compared to actual talent) I'd be looking to deal him if at all possible. If I *had* to play him at 2B or 3B, I'd expect to lose a fair amount of games and perhaps punch a hole in my computer, but he'd be at 3B.

An average 2B will make 1.5 more plays per game than an average 3B.     I think that should tell you all you need to know.

To try to put how bad he'll be at 3B in context-- he'll probably cost you 10-20 runs a season compared to an average 3B. To me, that makes the total package kind of OK at the major league minimum, but he doesn't advance you towards winning a championship if you play him at 3B. Look for another solution if you're contending unless you're really strong everywhere else and you're just patching 3B together.

See him as a corner outfielder, nothing more.

Brooks Shields.  I lol'ed.  This guy can only be used at 1b or LF.

Bat isn't nearly good enough to make up for his defensive struggles, IMO.  1B or COF only for me.

I would look to deal him for someone better. His good overall should net you something pretty decent in most cases especially since he is still a prospect. Look back at trade history for someone who seems to favor overall and see what you can get from him. I wouldn't play this guy anywhere but COF and since you already have that full this would seem to be your only option. Good luck.
