Okay guys, hopefully we can get 12-15 guys on here to play for bragging rights and some WIS $$$ and play in a league on ESPN, the evil network.

Sign up here, and we can discuss a good draft time for everyone once we get everybody signed up. All you would need to do is sign up with espn (free account), and it would run from there! Here is how it would work and the rules to the league.

First off, we would have a 12-15 team league depending on how many sign up. Everyone will contribute $10 in credits to me (if you trust me), if not I'm sure we can work something with admin to hold the credits. First through 3rd place would get prize money at the end of the year. Payouts are below.

12 team league-   1st $80
                                2nd $25
                                3rd  $15

15 team league-   1st $100
                                2nd $31.25
                                 3rd $18.75
 
The league itself would be an auction league, that way everyone gets a fair chance at who they want. We can debate on draft times later. Basically everyone starts with 260 fake dollars and can bid on anyone they want, but you only have that to spend, so it is like a salary cap we are all used too. :) It would be standard 5x5 rules (Runs, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, W, S, ERA, WHIP, K). It will be a rotisserie league and will have live stats and updates for you. If you want to join, sign up here or sitemail me. Nice to have ya'll! We are up to 10, so we need 2 or 5 more souls. I would prefer us to get to 15, so hopefully we can get 5 more souls to join us in what will be a fun group of knowledgeable baseball guys.

what does "faab" system mean?

It is a bidding system. You get 100 fake dollars at beginning of the year. Lets say that a player called "Jake Long" is available, depedning on how much you want him and think other owners will be interested, you would bid a secret amount on him, once the waivers go thru, the highest bid would get him off the waiver wire, but if you bid 17 dollars and the next highest bid was 9, it still goes for your bid of 17.

Was thinking about joining until you said knowledgeable baseball guys.

 I guess that is what happens when you were up the following night with no sleep!
