How often do new worlds open up? Not new seasons in worlds, but new worlds starting at Season 1?

Thank you!

Rarely.

WIS has put restrictions on the creation of new worlds.  Basically, you need a certain number of first time owners, and the promise (for what it's worth) of multiple seasons of committment by all owners.

There is a wait list to open new worlds however having a certain amount of new owners is not ALWAYS the case. Just had a new world open with no NEW owner requirement. However it could be due to the strict rules and theme we are using.

I'll also add- being a brand new owner you should REALLY join a public world to learn the game before trying to join an established private world or new world. Get to know some of the other owners that play because many of the more recent new worlds to be created didn't even have a classified post stating they were starting a new world. A lot of them sitemail other owners they know.

Should also add, that getting into a new world, isn't going to be the quickest route to success or even the most fun for you.  If you look in the classified section, or join a public world, you may find a more established team the help you thru the learning curve.  You may find owners you enjoy playing with better, you'll easily find a team with less issues.  From what I've heard, new world teams are pretty much a hodge podge of talent, some good, some **** poor, spread thru the world.  You could inherant some poor contracts or a poor minor league system, etc.. An established team that is in good shape will offer less challenges, it could also present you more opportunities to get what you want, ie a complete rebuild, or take over an established winner.
