I recruited a guy who signed with me, but he was academically inelligble and decided to go play Junior College.  What happens now?  Do I need to re-recruit him next year and how many years of eligibility does he have left?  Seems like maybe I f'd up.  I don't understand.  Any help is appreciated.

It is not your fault. It happens quite a bit. There is no formula or amount of effort that will guarantee they will show up on campus. You can re-recruit him next season and 25% of the effort you put into him this season will carry over. However, be aware that you will be recruiting him as a Soph from his JUCO location which could be clear accross the country from you. If you filled all your spots including his, you will still get your 25% carryover and you will get money for his open spot next season.

Yeah, I hate that long distance recruiting. I wish we could recruit them from their hometown, not their JUCO city

all I can say is don't mess up "Th' Word" man.... I'd hate to have to come back down there and straighten this out for ya. 

Its a random thing and a risk when you recruit an ineligible at D2/D1.
