a post i just saw in a different thread got me to wondering:

do people make a stink if, for whatever reason, in the playoffs, a team has his scheduled starter pulled early for another one (lefty for a righty or vice versa)?

is that bad sportsmanship if it's done purely to change the handedness of the pitcher giving a supposed matchup advantage?

for me i try to have a team that can play vs. righties or vs. lefties or either at any time. not that i always succeed at building a team like that, but it's my goal. having said that, i do set my teams up with the vs lefties setup against a lefty and a vs righties setup against a righty. thoughts?

Since it became a minimum of 40 pitches, I don't see a real problem with setting a RH 1A at 40 and using a LH 1B.   There's really no different than setting a pitcher for a pull 5, watching him give up a hit, a homer and a walk then getting replaced by a LR with different handedness.    Setting a pitcher for 5 PC was largley BS because the intent was obvious.
