I just saw this for the first time, but got no correspondence to go with it.  What causes them and do they have any lasting effects?

Ya, I didn't see anything that changed.  I wanted to make sure though since I didn't get an email explaining the injury.

Think of it as an off-the-field injury.  He sprained his wrist picking up his suitcase in the hotel room.
