Promised Start to Ineligible Topic

I screwed up and forgot to pull my promised start to an academic ineligible. He ended up signing. Does anyone know the impact of this? Do I need to start him his sophomore year? Is he gonna be mad I didn't start him this year? Should I just give him a starting slot in the depth chart even though he can't actually play?

If you are D II or D I you can ignore the promise and consider it a freebie...unless he passes SAT before end of signings. If D III he'll be eligible and you go from there...
