Recruiting question Topic

Nearing the end of the post-season in Naismith, I am starting to do some recruiting searches to see what is available for my next recruiting class. Does prestige affect how many recruits will appear in your recruting searches?  I have a C prestige right now and I can view 83 recruits in Indiana and 139 recruits in Ohio, for example.  I will get a prestige bump from C to something in the B range after the season rolls over. Will I then view more than 83 recruits in Indiana and 139 recruits in Ohio?

Yes, the better your prestige, the more players you can see.  As recruiting continues, of course, other players will drop to your list from DII

I am confused about this.  Here's why.  I can view 139 players in Ohio and I asked fhook, who has an 'A' prestige and he said he can also view 139 players in Ohio.  So, what is the difference between what fhook is able to see and what I am able to see?  Is it that some of the players that fhook would see as DIII players will show up on my search as DII players?  ...and after the rollover some of those players will shift from DII to DIII for my search?

The main thing I want to know is: are there going to be more high school and JuCo players that will appear to me later beyond the 139 that I now see in Ohio?  Or is it merely that some of the 139 will switch from the DII list to the DII list when my prestige improves? Is 139 a fixed total of all high school and JuCo recruits from Ohio who are available to all schools in Naismith?

I guess what is confusing is that I have been told before that I cannot "see" everybody, so I always assumed that meant there were hidden recruits. But, it appears that I actually can see everybody.  Nobody is hidden.  They just are arranged in different divisions depending on the prestige of my program. . . correct?  I can see all 139 recruits in Ohio simply by changing my search parameters. . . correct?

Do a search for DIII recruits in OH, and you will see less than 139. I can see 69 of the 139 total recruits.

Yes, if you do a search for 'any division' you'll see all the Ohio recruits...D1, DII, DIII.   If you do a search for individual divisions, the total will remain the same but they'll be split.

The split numbers will change as DI players move to DII, and DII players drop to DIII but the total remains the same

Transfers (there won't be many)  don't show up until after the season ends but I'm not sure of the exact time frame. .  I'm also not sure when JUCOs appear.

and at an A prestige, I see 68 in OH and 26 in IN (d3).

Al, JUCO's appear with the high school guys at the end of the prior recruiting cycle.  jkline, the only truly new players that will show up for you will be the transfer players.  What people mean when they say you see more players is that more guys will start out as D3 recruits rather than D2 or D2 rather than D1 as your prestige improves.  Everybody can see every player, and if you buy FSS in their state everyone can see the same potentials.

Ah, now it all makes sense.  Thanks guys.  By the way, with a C prestige my DIII search turns up 61 players in Ohio and 18 players in Indiana.
