Is my George Mason team underperforming? This is my first season at DI so I'm not 100% sure what I'm working with right now.

Am I making any glaring mistakes in my lineup or does my team basically suck? Should I just get my freshmen a lot of minutes because they'll be playing a lot next season?

Thanks

Bump.

I saw two or three games you should have won. A different gameplan probably gives you those wins. I think Brock should see more playing time, maybe start in some situations. I don't think you should go with your Freshman yet. Win a few more games and you should get the bump to C- prestige. You recruited well with that D+ prestige this past off season. Your team should be decent next season and if you recruit well this season your going to be really good in two years.

Thanks for the advice. Any thoughts on what record/rpi is necessary to get the bump up to C-?

Tiller needs to shoot the ball more. He is your most efficient scorer.

Yeah, there are a few issues I see at first glance:

-True freshman starting pg. If you promised him a start, well ... not much you can do. But if you didn't, he shouldn't be starting.
-Going with three bigs every game, regardless of matchups or defense you're facing. I'd definitely be playing a three-guard lineup at the very least vs. fcp teams.
-It looks like you might be using target minutes. If so, I would switch to fatigue.
-Curious how you're using tempo ... looks like maybe you had been running uptempo a lot, and now you've switched to slowdown. Again, you should be moving that around based on matchups. Example: Last game you ran slowdown vs. a James Madison team that runs fastbreak and only goes eight deep. That's a game that you should've run uptempo and it would've likely been the difference between winning and losing. (That plus a three-guard lineup so you could get someone suitably fast/athletic to guard JM's top player, a guard who plays the 3.)
-Wow, now that a look, that's a trend -- playing your slow pf at sf and him getting torched. Was also the main reason you lost to LIU and Navy.
-I also agree that Tiller should be getting some more distro, and some of the other guys (especially Paulucci) should be getting way less. The fact that those two guys seem to be getting pretty equal distro is inexplicable -- one is your most dangerous offensive player and the other is a big man with 43 lp.

What's odd is that I have had Tiller at 14 and Paolucci at 10, but they seem to remain close in terms of actual distro.

I wasn't able to gameplan for James Madison. That's why I kept the same gameplan from the previous game.

And I did promise a start to the PG.

14 to 10 is very close. And big men get their fg attempts padded a bit due to putbacks.

If those two guys were on my team, Tiller would literally be getting 4-5x as much distro as Paolucci (like maybe four for Paolucci and 15-20 for Tiller).

don't play your best big man at sf, stoney needs to play pf or c, preferably against the other teams worse defender at pf or c. brock should start at sf. bell as the backup sg. backer backup pg. give distro to byrd he is your best backup big man, just not ready to start yet. there is more, but that should get you on a winning path. your welcome.
