Maybe, it depends on how much you value gpa. My strategy is just to keep players above a 3.0 (at least through their first three years), and If a player completes his freshman year with a 3.0 or higher then this task is rather easy to accomplish. I start each freshman with 10 minutes of study hall, wait to see what the mid-terms reveal, then adjust accordingly. Sometimes I can get away with only 8 minutes, but occasionally I have to go as high as 15. The following years generally fall in these ranges: sophmores 4 to 6, juniors 1 to 2, and seniors 0 (almost always).
