It's a pretty substantial improvement but a quick check shows a lot of damage was done in the previous seasons.  Your two 100 win teams have less than 35m committed to payroll for next season.    They've built good, young, cheap teams during the "bad" years.

a further check would show that one of those teams is about to get hit with a ton of arbitration hearings, though.

If you're pimping your world, good for you but arbitration isn't a bad thing for a 100 win team.   A) the players are young   B) the owner can lock them down for 5 seasons right now and keep winning 100.

I've slimmed down since that photo.   Dropped about 15 lbs.  Another 10 and I should be good to go.
