Quick Overview: Choose if you'd like 1, 2 or 3 teams randomly issued to you. If you choose 1 team issued, then you get 3 free-agents (see below for free-agent explanation), if you want 2 teams issued, you get 2 free-agents and if you want 3 teams issued, you get 1 free-agent. Once you select your team out of the random teams issued, then you twist players from that team and add a free-agent (non-twisted). For more detailed explanations, see below...
 
 

To be eligible for this league you must have at least one sim league title in your WIS career

RULES and SETTINGS

* $90 million salary cap

* Once you've picked your team, twist any players on roster from that team (use baseball-reference.com)

* Each team has option to sign free-agents from same season as your team. Free-agents are not allowed to be twisted.

* Owners have option to fill roster with up to four $200K players from same season/different team

* no AAA

* no Waiver Wire

* no DH

* no Clones

* Yes to Trades

* Standard WIS format

* We will have 12 NL teams and 12 AL teams

* Must use ballpark team used that season

* Name must have year and team and add something creative if you like

* One instance of a franchise city in the league (Example: Only one New York Yankees team allowed… Same franchise/different city is okay, ie. a Philadelphia Athletics team and an Oakland Athletics team can participate in the league)

HOW DOES RANDOMIZATION WORK ??? All the .500 or better teams are entered into random.org. Each owner is issued his teams with a .500 or better record. Your teams will come from from the generational breakdown years 1903-1945, 1946-1977 and/or 1978-2010. Pick one of those teams and that's your team. As franchises are selected, they are removed from the pool. PLEASE NOTE: Commissioner will insure that there are at least 15 years difference between your three random teams to insure variety.

PLEASE NOTE: All owners are encouraged to choose their team as soon as they can, so we can enter the non-selected teams back into the pool for the next owners who sign up.

WHAT IS A FREE-AGENT ??? A free-agent is any MLB player from the same season as your selected team. You have the option to sign these free-agent players. These players cannot be twisted. You must use that season for that player.

** Let's show an example so everyone can see how it works:

Owner signs up below and wants to receive three random teams (which means he only gets one free-agent). He draws 1926 Cardinals, 1965 Giants and 2000 New York Mets. Owner decides to take the 2000 Mets and then selects Nomar Garciaparra 2000 as a free-agent. Owner draft and twists players from the 2000 Mets team and decides to fill final four spots with $200K players. He drafts four $200K players from the year 2000.

One final note on free-agents… Each player/season is exclusive so if another owner owns the 2000 Yankees, he is not allowed to draft Nomar Garciaparra 2000. However, if another owner gets the 1998 Giants, then he can use Nomar Garciaparra '98 because it's a different year.
