Budgets relating to ratings Topic

Quick question - Say I have $10MM in International Scouting and another team has $15MM in International.

We are both looking at the same prospect - say 18 yr old SS.

My projected ratings for contact/power are 75/70
Say the other team sees projecteds at 65/60

Since the other team has more money in International would his projected ratings be more accurate thus identifying his "true" talent better?  Does this work this way with all this prospects ratings, and all the time?

I'm trying to get a handle on if a higher International budget means more accurate ratings, or just the ability to see more prospects.

Also, in the above situation, say that SS signs, is it more likely that his ratings when then viewed via advanced scouts would be something like say 60/60 rather than 80/80?

Thanks

Both.  More and better.

ADV budget would then take over his projected ratings.

I would add one clarification - the projection seen by the team with higher Intl scouting budget won't necessarily more accurate for every player.  On average, they are more accurate than with a lower budget, but it is possible for a low budget team to see more accurate projections for individual players.

That doesn't make sense to me. Why have a higher budget if you're not going to get more accurate ratings? I suppose anything is possible, but I really can't imagine a lower budget being more accurate very often.

I think that on average lower budgets are farther off than higher budgets, but individual ratings can fluctuate and sometimes the guy with 10 AS will be closer on a particular player's projected bunting than the guy with 18 AS, but on a whole, the guys with 18 are seeing much more accurate ratings.
