Does anyone have experience making a guy like this work in the big leagues?

It looks like he already had 3 years of experience, averaging one inning per appearance.  Id start him out at 10-20 pitches and see how tired he gets in an outing, and go from there.

I'd say "What you see is what you get".   25 innings per season.

I had a pitcher with "2" durability and a stamina of around 75.  Shuttled him back and forth from AAA (he had 98 makeup) and got 6, 6+ inning quality starts from him -- but that was it.  After he was out of options, he was no longer useful, but it seems like someone in the league, during a drunken stupor, signed him for a tremendous amount of cash.

I just bargain signed an IFA with numbers that our out of this world, except for a 13 durability.  Not sure how often he will be able to pitch in the future, but his other numbers are Cy Young quality.  Hoping I can put him on REST and pitch him once every 10 games or so once he reaches the bigs.

I love this topic because it gives me a chance to re-post my favorite personal HBD anecdote.  In Clemente a few seasons ago, I had a 1 durability pitcher with 69 stamina.  I brought him to the majors and he came in 2 or 3 times in long relief, and always needed quite a few games to recover.

Then one day, because of a fatigue issue with a starter, I put him in the starting rotation for a spot start.  And when his turn came up, in his first ML start, he went out and threw a 9-inning perfect game.  So obviously, it was going to take about 20 games or so before he'd be ready to pitch again (his arm nearly fell off throwing the perfect game).  But when his accomplishment appeared on the World page, and I mentioned it in the forum, I immediately got a trade offer for him.

So since he was pretty much useless to me for most of the remainder of that season, I jumped at the trade, and actually got a decent infielder, solid reliever and a small amount of cash for him.

Probably one of my favorite players! I picked him at the end of the Rule 5 4 seasons ago and he's been amazing.  Twice he's pitched pivotal LCS gems and played great relief in his 3rd post season.  This season I've tossed him in as a closer and he's done well in most of his appearances.  He'll get another Playoff start this season and continue to be an important piece to our puzzle.

Originally signed as a "for that price, why not?" IFA (his bonus was $51K), he got real interesting when he was blessed with DiTR status.

I just got a first round bye and I'm considering pitching him in the first game of round 2 with the hope that he'll be ready again for the end of round 3 (or beginning of the WS if the LCS is short).

Exactly like the above two examples, the IFA I signed for a meager bonus showed (to me) presigning as a 5 durability, but after signing he showed as a 13.  We will see where he pans out at, but his projected core numbers are almost all in the 90+ range other than durability.  One of the better starting pitchers I have ever seen, barring the DUR issue.  A shame he will probably only provide 6 starts a year.
