Normally, I would make this decision fairly easily.

"B" has the best overall ERA#, OAV#,  BB/9# and WHIP+ leading to the highest $$$/IP

BUT

the HR/9 and HR/9+ work out to the worst of the three.  Given my home stadium of AFC, am I heading for trouble?

"A" would be the best choice if only considering the long-ball effects, but is saddled with the WORST OAV# and WHIP+ of the bunch.

How significant are the statistical differences within these catagories and how much would you expect the performances of these three to vary??

I.E. Does a change in HR/9+ of 20+ points offset the differences in values in the other areas???

in AFC I would take A
interesting question though

single season progressive?  I would go B....  what's he gonna give up 3 more homeruns?

It's not like you're gonna see a ton of hr hitters in 1970.
