Hey...have you guys ever had a case where the simmy offered a guy a contract extension...one that you didn't want?

I'm pretty sure it happened to me....Or I went completely braindead and hit submit.

I was checking on the contract on this guy JulianFurcal as I was going to offer him in a trade.  He was in his last year...making $3M.  Wanted 2 years at $5.4M.  He's been a good reliever...but disappointing to a degree.  I expected more.  But he's 36!

I then sent the other guy a PM and inquired if he was interested in Furcal.  He said that he was before the contract extension.  I thought "What extension?"  But when I checked...there it was!

I received no notification that I had offered and Furcal had accepted.  Doesn't that usually happen?  Now I'm stuck with a contract I purposefully tried to avoid?  Is a complete shaft job possible?

Checking Furcal's transaction page...it says I offered at 6:23.  Is that Eastern time?  Or is that my local time...Oregon. 

Anyway...I'm completely bummed out.  This fries me....

What happens if you hit the "Submit & Return" button on the negotiations page?  I know I didn't hit "Submit" because I didn't get the green note saying that the offer had been accepted.

It submits the offer, then it skips the offer confirmation and returns straight back to the free agent page.

could you have possibly been on at 6:23 and hit the wrong button?
i think that should be your first thoughts right there

I believe all times are Eastern time.

All signs indicate you extended him.

I was on at 3:23 my time and getting off...or just got off.  I can't believe I hit "Submit & Return" but I may have.....It was certainly not intended if I did.
