The guidelines for potential..... Topic

Just had a freshman, seven games into the season "max out" in an attribute without improving a single point.

David Dipaolo. Ball Handling. It said low on his scouting report and in pre-season email from my assistant coach. This morning I got the email telling me he was done. I was under the impression he would still improve a handful of points, even with low.

Is that wrong? Has anyone ever heard of a kid maxing out without improving a point? What exactly are the generally accepted guidelines with potential? I believe I saw that "low-high" is 21-28 and "high-high" is 28+.

there are threads that show some good detail about this within the last month - not all that rare for low to max out with zero change - there is no scouting rating lower than low so anyone who is within decimals of his max will be low

I always project 0 for low potential, then count any points he actually improves as a bonus.

Thanks guys. I guess I went off the first "guideline" I saw, which had "Low" as 3-6 points. However, I guess it makes sense that there's nothing lower than low, so 0 improvement would fall in there as well.

low is 0-6, not 3-6.
