1. Prevost played way too much. He has no athleticism or defense. In a M2M, a 1 DE rating is nothing but a hastle. Avoid players like this because if I were the opposing coach, I would up the distro against him. Avoid recruiting players like these.
2. Zhou has very good speed and ball-handling, making him a good slasher. I would lower his 3pt. setting if I were you. I would keep it at zero or -1 on most occasions. 0 or +1 versus a zone or very bad defense.
3. Sweet is another guy with bad defense and athleticism. His lack of speed and athleticism makes him little of a threat offensively, but he is not a good defender either. Not a player you want to be playing over 5 mpg for you at this stage.
4. Looks like you promised Hession minutes, but if you hadn't, he would deserve less time and Pennington should have played more.
5. Lapointe should not be shooting 3's. I would put him a -1 on rarity, but just because his perimeter rating is good for a big doesn't mean he should shoot 3's. Shooting from 10-15 feet out is probably where he is most effective.
What you need to do:
1. Recruit faster, more athletic guards who are either good distributers, good scorers, or good defenders with average offensive skills.
2. You have done a pretty good job at recruiting SFs. Keep doing what you're doing there. As you gain prestige, you'll be able to recruit higher potential guys.
3. Find more guys like David White. While that may seem like a challenge, you can do this if you start looking harder for potential. Recruit within 360 miles and find guys with high potential in either rebounding or low post who also have at least a 30-40 in athleticism and decent speed (10-20ish).
You did manage your stars very well this season. Keep working at it because as you increase your prestige, you'll only make it easier on yourself. In a couple games like v. Christian Brothers, you made errors with your setting. You should have been +1 or +2 against that team, whose major scorers were perimeter shooters. Same thing against St. Paul's. For now, look at an opponents previous games to get a good indicator of what setting plays well against them. You'll develop a feel for it eventually.
