which one is more important?

I don't overlook any of them, but I'd choose eye over contact.
6/14/2011 12:44 PM
Depends on the other ratings.. If you have a guy with 90+ speed and 85+ base running I'll take the eye.. Now on the flipside the higher contact with high speed and baserunning can turn into infield hits...

what about with high power? and a ok right split?

I generally regard them as equal, but in combination with high power I think high eye is a little better.

Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Frank Winchester
Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Stone Dawkins

here are the two players i have in question both are prospects only feel like i can bring one to the majors at some point

Neither is more than marginal with the bat nor ever will be.  By far the biggest difference between them is that Winchester will be able to back up at 3B; Dawkins just isn't an ML player.

Not seeing what his final projections will be.....but Winchester will be a pretty good 3B or RF.

Dude will mash homers, but strike out a ton.  His average should be in the .270's (assuming that he has +60 in the other hitting ratings).

Dawkins could be a vRHP platoon guy.  A pretty good one too.

Both have ML potential in my book.

not looking for either to be all stars i have a good core of real good players just lloking for .250 guy with some pop. i will post there projections in a bit.

there projections are for winchester why he was listed as a ss is beyond me i have him as a rf or 1b.
his fielding proj. are range 59, gl. 67, str. 73, acc. 68  his hitting is c. 25 ( will never make it)  pwr. 100 vs L 54 vs. R 62 eye 61

and dawkins fielding is range 55, gl 43, str. 47 , acc. 47 his hitting is contact 32, pwr. 92, vs. L 41, vs. R 73 eye 57

Winchester will make 25 contact, I think...

If he does, he's a .240-.290-.530 type guy.  He could play for me.
6/17/2011 10:27 PM
I  think they both have potential for .250 and 30-40 homers.  But you could probably get a better 1B for $3-5 million, so I would say Dawkins makes a great pinch-hitter or platoon.  I would be happy to start Winchester at RF, but I think Dawkins ends up being the slightly better hitter.

What you're seeing on these projections depends greatly on your Adv Scouting for players under 27 y.o. It can make a big difference.

Trash them both, In a hurry.

which one is more important?
As power and splits get higher, contact becomes more important than eye.
