Used to be great customer service. When fox bought the company, changed. Typical of small business where everyone knew the owner, happy and secure until grandpa sells to goiliath and heads to Florida to play shuffleboard and ride around in golf carts. I love this site but not fox. They squeeze the site for profit but fail to give employees incentive, reason to give it their all. It becomes a job with fewer employees, more responsibility. Feel bad for trentz, others who love the site but working for a faceless corp interested in profits not consumers. Rupert Murdoch is a..insert colorful curse here.

Generally the policy in business is do less with more, but what happens is shortcuts are taken to do less and more and customer service is one of the shortcuts. I lost one of my credit cards yesterday, I tried to call the movie theater to speak to a human, good luck with that, I just had to cancel the card because the theater was a 30 minute drive, by that time my debit card could of been drained.

I'm not sure what bothers me most.

1) The fact that I sent a ticket immediately (3:00 AM) and I didn't get a response until 6:37 PM.
2) That they acknowledge they'll do it for an NT game, but not a PI game.
3) The fact that this happens relatively frequently and they don't change their algorithm so this doesn't happen.

You know, a business DOES exist in the first place to make profits.  If it doesn't do that, it ceases to exist.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Rupert Murdoch had never even heard of WIS, and didn't know it was part of his company. I've worked for a couple of rather large corporations, with lots of management layers, and you'd be shocked about some of the stuff that went on that even the regional VP didn't know about. Even approval to buy other companies only had to go up to the regional segment president level... and there were at least 3 or 4 more layers above that.

Frankly, ata big company, I wwoudl be surprised if the CEO could even be physically capable of knowing everything done at every level.

I agree. Admit to having a bias against companies the size of fox. Worked for 2 companies owned by folks who built it from ground up, sold it to faceless corp. I see same thing here because I remember when wis was a growing comp out of Cincy, great feedback from trent, others and the differences now. Am still an addict, great site.

Well it really did go all downhill once Fox bought them. When Tarek and his boys were taking care of everything, the site had it's problems but they listened to everyone and fixed problems. I could get a response from CS within a couple hours.

Then they sold to Fox and Fox turned around and pushed Tarek out. Several of the other original guys received the same fate.

CS went down the crapper, major fixes to the games became non-existent, etc etc.

Not surprisingly, traffic and users have gone downhill as a result. Having been here for almost a decade now, at one point I would have 10-12 MLB teams, 4-6 HD teams, 2 NFL teams, 2 NBA teams and be posting and visiting the site all the time. Now I have 2 MLB teams, 1 HD and 1 GD.

I totally agree that Fox seems to have been a negative.  Before Fox it seemed like the main guy at each game kept tabs on things, posted in the forums periodically, and made at least semi-regular changes. Now the main guys seem to disappear for months and apparently are assigned to other stuff.  Plus WIS used to actually BETA TEST new engines and major changes.

Seriously?  Conference foes can't play each other in the first round of pretty much any real world tournament on the planet.  Not building something into the seeding engine to keep this from happening is pretty embarrassing for WIS.  It also has the potential to rob a given conference of recruiting money.

obviously a bug...and at that it's not very common at all

i'm kinda surprised they'd even reseed you for the NT, it seems a lot more unfair that someone could have a matchup changed after they've gameplanned

Has it happened before in the PIT? Or , is this the first incident?

IRL Nebraska and Creighton have gotten matched up in the first round of the NIT several times, and they play each other every December, so I don't see what the big deal is, as long as they're not 2 teams from the same conference.
