I usually don't spend any money on PH'ers because I think you can allocate that money in better places. Because of that, I haven't spent to much time really getting to know the PH hierarchy and workings. But now I ended up with a team that has a great PH with about 60 PA's. My bench consists of 4 players, 1 PH and 3 defensive replacements. The defensive guys hit as well as a pitcher, if not worst. So how do you maximize potential of a PH? And does anyone know the mechanics of the PH hierarchy? If I put the PH as the one player available to hit in the PH tree, will he be the only player that PH's? Or will sparky still use my defensive replacement guys to PH for pitchers even though they aren't on the PH hierarchy tree? And if I have only one PHer and I set my PH setting to 5, will that mean my PH will go out at every chance he gets, or will sparky be smart enough to save him for opportune places? Anyways, I would appreciate any advice or opinions anyone has on this subject.
