Pulling Down D1 Recruit to low prestige D1 School Topic

Anyone had any success pulling down a recruit that lists you as a back up option in D1.  I was a backup option gave a kid within 300 miles 50 evals and still wasn't able to pull him down.  Is that typical, or approx how evals would it take to pulldown a D1 player that lists you as a backup option?

50 evals and you didn't pull him down? That doesn't sound right. What was the backup message that you received?

The 2 guards I recruited in Tark were both backups for me this year, I have a D prestige at Norfolk St.    The PG was # 60 at his position, #300 overall, and took 31 scouting trips to get, which is the most it's ever taken on any level for me.
