How long does it take to get back to true 100%? Topic

So, nearing the all-star break, Player A is starting to fade. He's at 98%.

I generally like to keep my guys at 100%, but I realize there are varying degrees of 100%. If I rest Player A for 3-4 days, he'll be back at 100% quickly. But then when I play him again, he'll dip right back down to 99%.

So how many days do I need to rest him to get back to "true" 100%, by which I mean the 100% players start the season with. Or does it matter?

I would guess that it would take nearly as many days of to get back to "true 100%" as it took days of playing to get below 100%.

Fatugue for position players is a much different animal than fatigue for pitchers because it goes up and down in much smaller increments.

To answer your last question . . . it doesn't matter.  He'll be fully effective at 100%, whether it's "start of the season 100%" or "middle of the season 100%'.

Yeah, I'm more trying to avoid having him gone from the lineup sporadically once he reaches my limit (which I think is 95%). I'd rather just give him a week or two of rest than have him miss random games the rest of the season.

Rest him 1 game per week when playing waeker competition.. Doesnt make sense to sit a guy for a whole week to avoid goining to 99%
