I've always wanted to coach at my alma mater but it (Georgetown, KY)  is NAIA.  So my first team was the nearest school...Transylvania, 12 miles away. I'm still there, 51 seasons later in Iba World.

I've coached at both my alma maters (mati?  It has been a while since I've thought about declentions) and at a school where I've taken classes, but never earned a degree.  Winning an NT at one of them (Maine) is one of my favorite achievements in HD.

I'll probably never get to coach my alma mater, Indiana is too high a profile program for me to be qualified for now, and with the Big Six conferences filling up and staying filled in DI I don't know if I want to wait around for another 20 seasons before someone gets fired there.  But if I had the chance I would jump on it in a heartbeat.

I always wanted to coach one of my alma maters, but the timing has never been good.  It is a Big 6 school and it was open after I won my only NT, but since I had only been at Tenn for only 3 years (and it was a downgrade job from prestigious Grambling St. when I took it), I didn't have the loyalty to get the job.  Very realistic :)

I went to Kentucky. I'm not nearly a good enough coach to ever land UK in HD
