If it were me, I'd go Carrasco. Better defensively, more power, eye and contact.

Carrasco is a stud, and Gomez is marginal.  Platoon him with the excellent C you already have in the majors and also use him as that guy's defensive replacement.

depending on if you are winning it all this year or not, I'd burn Gomez this year, then trade him.  Keep Carrasco from hitting arb for a year by waiting, but he is the better catcher.

heck ya, bring carrasco after 20 MiL games and watch him destroy Lefties.  This guy is a dream backup catcher.  Heck, with that tiny OV he will never ask for much money, especially since he will never ever see more then 200 ABs a season with that tiny dur.  Hes at year 5, time to bring him up this year.  And with patience of 69 he will never leave you!

Paul Day has DUR = 35 and I get him 320 plate appearances a season, and he's never been below 99%.  You can get even more than that out of Carrasco.

Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Bernie Gomez or Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Oswaldo Carrasco ?

need one of them to come up from AAA to spell my starting catcher and hit vs. L

probably should trade the other ...
Carrasco for sure.  If he is spelling a starting C, then his pitch calling alone would make him the better option.  But his eye is also better, so it's a done deal.
