Team success seems to have an awful lot to do wtih it (in most cases).

Is it more stats or ratings?

Specifically, does this guy stand a chance:

I was thinking about jacking up his distro #'s to increase his scoring to see if I could get him drafted but I don't want to mess with my team to much.

IMHO, ratings are more important and no, no chance

I would say no chance at all. I've had a couple 900+ rated guards go undrafted so I'd be amazed if that guy did.

There's always a chance, but I tend to agree with the posts from above.  I had a PG (yes, I realize he plays a different position) on my Duke team this past season (Elite Eight)  who had better ratings than that go undrafted.  Of course, there were a couple of D2 players drafted, so if you jack his distro up and get him some nice enough stats, it's possible.

Team success has a lot to do with it. Ratings and awards play a big factor too. For example a couple of seasons back I had the 2nd highest rated player in Tark but he went undrafted because he didn't even make 3rd team all-conference. A while back I had a guy who wasn't even 800 rated get drafted #1 because he was NPOY on a team that went to the Final 4. I also just had a D2 player drafted 40th who was NPOY on a team that went to the Sweet 16.

The draft is strange. I had a guy come off the bench 3 years start only one season, rated about 770 score only 15 points in his senior year, and the team go only to second round, but he got drafted first overall. I've alos had a player start 4 years, 3 first team all conf years, and one conf poy, team went to second round again, rated about 870, not get drafted at all. This was from Duquesne in Naismith a couple of seasons ago. I would say your guy has very little chance, but you never know.

This guy was just named 1st team all-american  and DPOY.    We got bounced in the 1st round though.

He went in the 2nd round.   His overall rating was about 750.
