Well, I'll tell you shobob. Because I'm that kind of guy.

It is the last time the good people at WhatIfSports took any part of our money. and reinvested it back into this product.

Thus, it appears, the product is what it is. If you like it, you like it. If you don't, you don't.

Oh, I thought you were going to spout some "binary day" bullshit.  Google 11/11/10, you get some funny results.  As for the reinvesting thing, that is a bit of a shame.   Although this is a great product, I think it needs some occasional tweaking as issues come up.

Maybe a little marketing and advertisement to help get new owners and help fill all these worlds and get a quicker roll-over in between season. Pay some of those "basement sitting" bloggers $50 bucks to put it up on their site if they have enough page views.

I think ignoring your core business to attempt to get a foothold in something else is a bad idea.  There is nothing wrong with wanting to expand your customer base and enter new fields, but I do have a problem with it being at the expense of the other games on this site.  HD has seen its numbers plummet, GD is f'd, and HBD is stagnant in growth.  (yes the worlds fill and there have been new worlds added, but most of that is probably just current owners adding new teams) And if it is true that it has been 3 years with no product, then they should really get back to what actually works for them before they are left with a ghost site.  At least leave one or two programmers to work on and make minor updates on these games, that isn't asking too much, especially when you are paying for a product that you expect to be upgraded over time.

I'm guessing, but 10% of the FF market is probably worth a lot more money than 100% of the simulation sports market.

Does WIS have any real competition in the sports simulation market?

Until someone comes out with better games or better marketing for their games, and they start taking market share away, I'm not sure what would motivate Fox Sports to invest any money in improving the current WIS games.

IMO, Fox Sports does a poor job of marketing HBD. Most sports fans I hang out with have never heard of WIS.  It would cost money to expand their marketing and maybe they don't think it would pay back enough.
