I'm curious if anyone has ever recruited a center with typical big-man REB and BLK - but some little-man stats elsewhere. I'm talking high BH and PAS, and very low LP. Could this type of guy work in D2 / D3 as a rebounder / shotblocker on defense, and a low-usage, pass-happy point-center on offense? Or could he be used elsewhere in the lineup more effectively?

Its tough to say without knowing his Spd/Ath. If he's good enough to hang with other guards in that area, then he should be a usable SG and maybe even PG. That said, I'd probably look at playing him as a SF.

There are 2 guys I'm thinking about who fit this pattern. Assume good ATH and average / mediocre SPD (so guard isn't an option).

Well he'd definitely make for a solid SF. He could also be a usable SG, depending on how high his P/BH is (they don't need to be amazing, just good) and how he fits in with what your roster needs.

If you have a couple of scorers on the floor at the same time then I'd just put his distro low to keep him in the game longer and let him rebound, defend the paint, and let him kick out passes sort of as a low post point guard. It would be more effective if another big can score so other teams don't ignore interior defense and go + on 'ya.
