I don't play OLs much anymore, or I probably would have known about this:
I recently put together a team for fun: a few cookies, Joss to anchor the rotation, 1920 Ruth (the real reason for the team, just to see him rake - which he's NOT doing), and a few barely above average (ERC+ 105-110, as I recall) SPs to round out the rotation. Well, the rotation (other than Joss) is sucking wind big-time, so I've been watching the WW with the idea of exchanging two of the $5 million SPs for a good $10 million one.
The problem is that I can't waive one of the SPs outright because it would put my staff below the OL minimum for IPs. So, in effect, the OL IP/162 limits are precluding me from making the one WW move that would allow me to make my team competitive without completely restructuring it. The rule makes a lot of sense, doesn't it?
