I'm just starting to really play with players service tie to get the most out of them before I arb them.  So my question is do players accumulate service time during the playoffs.  Say I bring a a guy up after the first 25 days in the minors then make a long playoff run do I run the risk of him getting his full year of service time??

No, playoffs are included in that same season for service time.
