I have the 2009 Albert Pujols on a team. He hit .327/.443/.658 that season. For me he is at .199/.281/.257. He hit 47 HR for the Cardinals, but has hit zero (0) for me in 34 games.

It's a small sample size. Yes we've all had players underperform for parts of and even entire seasons. It's the nature of statistics.

Modern right-handed sluggers are notorious under-performers.  But to acurately gage how bad of an under performance you have, we need to know what kind of league it is.

If it's an OL, for a player with his numbers, I would hardly call 34 games with ZERO HRs a small sample size. Dump him immediately. lol

The average team is .285/.347/.410. My team is .229/.304/.308. League average is 31 HR, my team has 13 HR, and I typically pick a team that has HR hitters. I've had teams get off to slow starts hitting before, but this one is really bad.

After 44 games, Pujols, Ted Williams, Chipper Jones and Nomar Garciaparra have teamed up for zero homeruns. Don't tell me about a small sample size.

Every team in that league has the greatest pitchers in the history of baseball on its roster.  So that might have something to do with it.

$45 million salary cap with 12/8 WAA choose your own AAA players. Yes, the pitching is good, but there are 3 Coors teams, 2 new Yankee Stadium teams, and a Wrigley Field team and everyone else is hitting home runs. My pitchers are allowing homeruns. I have team that get off to slow starts before, but this one takes the cake.
