Is it possible for a private world to go public and then revert back to private in subsequent seasons?  As I recall, this game was initially set up in such a way that if a private world went public, that's all she wrote.  You're public for life and subject to all the risks that entails.  But I'm in a world now where some are insisting that has been changed, though they cannot provide any written dox, devchats or anything to back that up.

I'm in a private world that was once public ( Mantle ) however I'm not sure how easy or hard it was to get it changed.

Yes, a private world can go public to fill, and it automatically reverts back to private once the season starts.  Been there.
