Knight, DIII- SoCal- the conference of champions Topic

Some coaches want to win against lesser competition.

Others want to be with and try and beat the best.

The Southern Cal. conference in Knight has some of the most eye-popping numbers in the current DIII environment- 3 of the top 6 conference RPI's recorded in recent history, including last season's #3 RPI.  Conference recruiting cash up the wazoo (an estimated $6833 PER TEAM for this season alone.)  Defending NT and PIT champions.  7 NT bids and 3 PIT bids this season.  Four coaches have national championships on their So-Cal ID's, and 5 of the last 10 DIII Knight championships have been given to So-Cal teams.

Why should you join?  For the great coaches, its' a chance to prove you can hang with/beat some of the best competition DIII has to offer.  For average/below-average coaches, it's a chance to learn in a great environment how to be a better coach.  The group is talkative, helpful, and even votes for coach selected conference awards every season.

*DISCLAIMER*
Do not join the So. Cal if you cannot handle losing.  Two of the PIT teams would have been NT teams if they had managed a .500 regular season record, southern division teams played a minimum of 10 games each against top 25 foes (At the start of the season, I had 3 conference games that were not against pre-season ranked foes), and if you take on a down/out program, there are no one/two season turnarounds to go 25-2 in the So. Cal.  I'm not saying you will never be good, but you will lose more games then you are used to, no matter what level of coach you are.

Available teams (more may be added when the renewal deadline passes)-

CSU-Eastbay (whatifsports.com/hd/TeamProfile/Ratings.aspx)- 19-11, RPI #19 this last season.  6 graduating seniors would allow the next coach to change sets (currently motion/man) if they'd like, or shape the team in their image.  Glenn Lange is the returning centerpiece of the team.  The team is coming off it's 2nd postseason appearance in 18 seasons, and could use a long-term coach to help keep them at the last season's level.

Job applications start in Knight on Sunday, and signups on Wednesday.  Those who are up for the challenge, come join on of the premier DIII conferences in HD!
