Mr McGuire, linked above, was a pretty good pitching prospect for me. If you take a look at his injury log, you'll see he hasn't had the best of luck. The season I drafted him, he had a 10-day and a 60-day injury and was only able to pitch 5 innings in rookie ball because of those injuries. The next season, he was promoted to LoA, was pitching well and everything seemed to be back on track. Then he gets hit with a "280 Day- Elbow surgery." He is still recovering, and despite those injuries he did develop 6 overall points. Has anyone had a similiar situation? Any educated guess on how well he'll recover? He is only 20, but he has missed alot of time as well....

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Max out training, keep medical high if you want to limit the length of recovery (some just max training and hope no one gets hurt), and hope this stretch doesn't continue.  I wouldn't expect him to get hurt every season, but 70 is below average health.  He'll likely end up usable in the majors, but not what he could have been w/o injuries.
