13 openings in S3.    2nd newest world and interest hasn't been maintained.

And, as a counter-measure, sell 4 packs that can only be applied to new worlds.   Make owners drop a hundred that they can't get back to get that new car smell.   And, if they stop checking in, tough luck for the other 31. 

That should make everyone think twice before joining. 

My guess is that they're running into the same problems many predicted when the world was created.  The worlds is an interesting concept, but once you remove trades and free agency, things become pretty stale.

It's the same with most new worlds.   Everyone wants Christmas.  But, when the New Year rolls around, Christmas is old news.    So the fresh, new world is now just another world.

Lock people in for 4 seasons in new worlds. 

I'll support them killing that world if they give me a free season out of it.  I think most of the quitters left when the commish decided to jump ship.

But yeah, I agree with the 4 season "lock in" for new worlds.  You could leave, but the first 4 seasons are paid for upon joining up in season 1.  I can see some problems with that, especially in such a rule laden world, such as how do you kick out a guy who has 2 more seasons paid for?

You don't.    32 people are stuck with one another for 4 seasons.    Abandoned team?  Too bad.   Tanker?  Deal with it.   Complete *** in the world chat?  Block him.

As an addendum, how about folding worlds that, for whatever reason, exceed 16 openings (50%).  That clearly is a case in which the league isn't healthy anymore.

I'd be a lot more hesitant to fold long-time worlds.   There probably is a problem but owners have doled out a nice chunk of change to build their dynasty.

Mergers have been miserable failures because the owners who built their super teams suddenly realize they're not super teams when going against super teams from other worlds.
