After the final grades come out, is it okay to take all of the minutes from study hall and put them into other categories? i've always been to lazy to do this, now i'm curious if its okay to do it.

Yes, it's okay to do.  In fact, it's a waste of valuable practice minutes if you don't do it.

You should do it and I used to do it but with time you find yourself not doing everything you use to do. Also, write down whatever SH minutes you were using or just make adjustments after your first mid term next season.
