If you are a C+ school in DI, what players do you have a legit shot at getting?  With respect to Overall Rating or Ranked players, where should you start?  550? 530?  unranked players?

As I learned only too late in my failed D1 career, do not only recruit ratings.  At D1, be sure you recruit you core ratings AND specifically pay attention to the ATH (which stands for ATHLETE!)

You will not build a winning program without Athlete's.....period.

I agree about the ratings. I think that the ratings only take into account the player's PRESENT talent, and do not factor in potential.
