Am I right to be excited about the amount of potential this recruit has?  I know some of the starting numbers are low, but. . .

His scouting reports:

- Defensive fundamentals need work - I really think we could see massive improvement by his Senior year.
- Runs the court very well - with the right diet and conditioning he could be MUCH quicker than he is today.
- Outstanding court vision and passing ability - I don't see any signs of improvement.
- Outside shot can be inconsistent - I see such solid fundamentals that with enough practice I don't see why he can't be a *significantly* better shooter than he is today..

- Needs aerobic conditioning. Tires easily - with the right diet and drills, I think we can see a *dramatic* change in his conditioning.
- Looked shakey at the free throw line - the fundamentals look solid, with time and coaching, he could really show some improvement.
- Great shotblocking instincts and fundamentals - he's shown glimpses of raw ability which make me think he just has *tremendous* room for improvement.
- Good athleticism and I don't think we're going to see much improvement.

- Fantastic rebounding instincts - there's no reason to NOT expect HUGE improvement here.
- Doesn't look comfortable with his back to the basket - sky's the limit.

- Didn't look very comfortable at times handling the ball - he has the raw skills to make me think he has *tremendous* upside.

I was thinking to redshirt him and perhaps eventually use him as a SF.

really depend on how high that high-high in reb, def and sb are. His speed is low high with a 21 point cap, so if he gains 21, you could use him at SF. If he gains something like 16-18, you are kind of forced to use him at PF.

If reb/def/sb (especially reb) can get to 70+, you have a pretty good PF. If they hit 80+, then a great PF. On the other hand, if they gain 30 point in each, you are looking at a pretty average player.

Seemed worth taking a risk at.

i looked at him to recruit, and really liked him
i can easily counter though, with michael stewart... check out the FSS (assuming you have New York)

and all of the highs except for speed and ball handling are high-high

I looked at Michael Stewart too.  yes, he is very good.  But you had already jumped on him when I looked at him.

Yeah. . I let that slide right by me.  By definition he gains a minimum of 20 - 21, and as much as 27.

Right?

You are right, its a 27 point cap for low-high, so he will turn out to be playable at SF no matter what.

I had done a letter, two evaluations to sort of feel him out - with that many highs, I figured I would get valuable data whatever I did, was ready to jump in on him. . then saw your name and with with plan B.
