1) if a player has a trade block clause, what determines whether he is willing to come over in a trade to me?  Do I have to make the playoff the previous season?

2)  if said player is willing to come over to my team in a trade, does the same trade restriction apply if I turn around and try to trade him?  (I'm guessing yes).

he only goes to a team with a worse waiver position than his current team, i'm pretty sure.

If he has a no trade clause then it goes with him. However if he is a 10 and 5 guy (10 years in the league, 5 with the same team) he can reject trades. However once he is traded to your team he would no longer be able to qualify on the 5 years with the same team front. So it would not follow him.

ah yes!  I'm referring to the 10/5 player.  I can't believe I didn't think of that.  Thank you!
