I've had the top bid for a top FA for several cycles, offering $20M per year for 5 years, with a $10M bonus, a no-trade clause and a player option.

Suddenly the FA comes back and says I've been outbid. How is this even possible? Should I not give him an option, or a different sort of option? Or am I just doomed to lose him because he likes the other team better?
