There are, indeed, 3 openings in the SEC currently. We suffered a bit of a down season as a conference, and so my call is to any of you hotshot up and comers or to you grizzled vets who've seen it all - come and help us improve.
Mississippi State,
Tennessee and
Kentucky are available.
Kentucky is a Tark flagship program, coming off 14 straight ranked seasons prior to this last ghost ship fiasco. The program held its A+ prestige despite the 1-26 showing. The roster's kind of a mess with 6 walkons, but the 6 returning all look like ballers. Obviously few coaches will qualify for this gig. If its your dream school, here it is, grab it while you can. Its been 25 seasons since this opportunity existed.
Mississippi St was a tough rebuild from the gitgo. Though their RPI may not represent it, the program is 100% improved from the baseline inherited by the departing coach, who did a great job bringing them into fighting shape. They'll need attention but have a lot of young talent.
Tennessee is a similar story. Another young team that had a hard time finding its footing in an increasingly tough conference.
We filled the conference will all humans just a few short seasons ago, and saw steady improvement until last season. We we're terribly young overall last season, and with a few new great coaches imbuing some life blood into the equation I'm looking forward to retuning to that challenge very soon.
