Should I drop this player? Topic

I had a nice PF that I lost when I tried to battle a low end D1 school and he eventually took him away from me. I signed this guy hoping that the WE would increase his ratings. I know he has very high potential in LP and maybe avg in the other categories he's growing in. Should I try to find a better player or keep this kid and see if he grows? His RB and Passing are horrible and he most likely won't grow in those areas.

Hard to know without the potential email, but I would probably cut him, I just don't think there's a position I would ever be comfortable playing him at.

- Defensive fundamentals need work - I'd expect to see decent improvement.
- Looked shakey at the free throw line - I definitely think we can correct some fundamental issues to help him improve.
- Passing needs work - I don't think we're going to be able to get much more out of him.
- Can tire late in the game - even with that, I think we can really improve upon his conditioning.

Looks like the team primarily plays runs a motion offense. Maybe he had a big date after the game. I can't think of any other reason that he'd be out of position that many times when they ran motion.

Defensively, they played mostly a fullcourt press. Pretty typical of most players that age in terms of understanding the press.

Overall, I think he's got what it takes to be a DIII All-American before all is said and done. He could succeed at DII with some work, maybe a redshirt season.

Just my gut here, but I think he's really a fan of Western St.. Keep on him and I think we'll get him to sign.

What about the player thoughts email?  That would fill in the rest.  The only thing we know is that he is average in def & FT; low in Passing (as high as 21); low-high in stamina; and, based on his development during the RS season, high-high in LP.  If he had big improvability in Ath; SB & PER, then I think he can be a very useful player.  Even if you never really start him.

ATH: big upside
SB: big upside
LP: big upside
BH: big upside
PA: limited upside
ST: big upside
DUR: big upside

Cut him. His reb is too low to play pf/c and his spd isnt going to grow high enough to get him to play pg-sf.
