Who has a player, pitcher or position, with the most 100 ratings?  Current ratings....can be anything, patience, etc.

Matt Ross was pretty good in his day. He had 100 scores in CTR, splits and P1 for a few seasons.

Pretty good?  10 Cy Young Awards?  Wow.

293 innings pitched, 26-4 record with a 0.71 ERA on year and several in a row in the 1.50 range.  Holy crap.

More insane than that, someone traded him away!

And he didn't appear to reach his peak until age 36, wierd. Is that the so called training bug?  Stayed steady at OVR 87 for four years and then within 2 years hit 97 and went off.

Yeah, rather than staving off decline, older pitchers actually improved rather dramatically with a high training budget.

It was awesome.  :)

Nah, we had a top 10 offense that season, but there were apparently four games that we scored at least one run less than we gave up. That's baseball for you. One of my favorite statistical anomalies is that he won more games that year (26) than he gave up earned runs (23).

Another interesting statistical anomaly is his S5 strikeout total. As I recall, admin denied making an engine tweak that suppressed strikeouts, although Ross demonstrates something clearly changed during that three-month period that cost him the all-time record this past season (and there were other pitchers in other worlds that saw the same thing happen). I don't know that anyone could surpass his totals if he'd gotten an extra 150-200 strikeouts.

*anyone in Griffey world, that is. I think there are several pitchers from the steroid era in other worlds who had quite a few more strikeouts than Ross did.

28 CG in 33 starts is old school!
