When I read the pbp for this game, I knew Neely had a ton of points....when I opened the box score my jaw dropped.  Now I've seen guys hit 50 before, thought it doesnt happen often in a 40 minute game.  Typically when guys do it it's because they've had their distro jacked up super high to the point that they forced up 45 3pt fg attempts and made 15 of them. In this case the players distro was the same it has been all season, and not even the highest on the team (though it probably should be because of his long range abilities)

I'm not implying that this is some kind of historic HD game or anything, as I no doubt believe there have been similar or better performances in the past.  it's just that I have never had a guy on my teams get to 50+ so efficiently or without having his distro jacked up.  Curious to see what other jaw dropping moments my fellow HD'ers have had when they opened up a morning box score and saw something unexpected

I had one previous 50 point game, similarly as the #1 D2 team facing a crappy conference opponent.  My guy was a C tho, no 3s, but I gave him a huge amount of distro and I think he made 18 or 19 FTs, he had 51.

He missed ten shots... his teammates missed ten shots.  He took 26 shots... his teammates took 28 shots.  So he shot basically exactly the same efficiency-wise as his teammates... but 5 of their 28 were from long-distance and 24 of his 26 were.

Really a great game from Draper, too.  And Bellantoni made all of his shots with 8 AST, 5 REB, and a steal to make up for his turnover.

thats pretty sick.

Don't have the box score anymore.  But had something like mid thirties points on perfect  shooting, perfect from the line, to go with no turnovers and double digit rebounds.  Just an absolutely brutally efficient game.

Trying to remember ... I don't think I've ever had a guy score even 40. Pretty sure I haven't.
